Nancy Horsfall's Baby's Crib Quilt
This crib size quilt – 40” x 55” – was inspired by the two Nancy Horsfall bed covers in the Rachel Beatrice Kay-Shutttleworth collections of Gawthorpe Hall, Lancashire which featured recently in the V&A exhibition “QUILTS 1700-2010” and book of the same title, edited by Sue Pritchard. Traditional English paper piecing and hand appliqué are combined with machined borders and blocks to maintain the vintage feel of the quilt. |
